KAZAM DAVIS BIOGRAFIA

Girma ‘Kazam’ Davis is a humble Rastafarian hailing from the Twelve Tribes of Israel, with a promising musical career. Music has been a part of his life from his early years. He would often sing to family and friends as a child and later he would teach himself to play the guitar.

Kazam’s inspiration comes from JAH and the great Bob Marley. As he stated in an interview; “JAH and music itself are my inspirations. No one understood what I was going through while growing up, so I wrote to express my feelings and what I believed in. “My role model is my father, because he never gives up and him nuh put up with foolishness.”

Kazam’s objective is to emphasize peace and love through conscious musical lyrics. “My music wasn’t molded to meet a certain crowd or audience; it was a motivation within me.”

Kazam is a talented guitar player. He was encouraged by Earl ‘Bagga’ Walker and eventually joined ‘Jah Children’ band as a guitarist. They performed at venues such as ‘Weekends’ and ‘Livity’ in Kingston, Jamaica.

Live performances bring out the creativity of artists, and Kazam shines on these occasions. Kazam’s performances include the ‘Conscious Reggae Party’ held at Tony’s Bar and Grill in Kingston , ‘Jamnesia Live’ hosted by Billy Mystic of the group Mystic Revealers, Bull Bay , St Andrew, Jamaica . To commemorate Jamaica’s 50th Independence Celebration, Kazam performed his song entitled “50”, a catchy, thoughtful tune written for the momentous occasion at the National Commercial Bank. He has also performed

at South Beach Café in Kingston, featuring “Jah Ova Evil Movement Live” in August 2012 and several other events throughout the year 2012 and early 2013.
